NJ Transit (Buses & Trains)
NJ Transit operates buses, trains, and light rail across New Jersey and into NYC.
- Fares: Zone-based. Local bus from $1.80; interstate bus to NYC $4.00; train fares $4.25-$18.40
- Payment: Download the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App to buy tickets on your phone
PATH Train (NJ to NYC)
The PATH train connects New Jersey cities (Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken) directly to Manhattan.
- Fare: $2.75 per ride
- Payment: Use TAPP - tap your contactless card or buy a reloadable TAPP card ($5) at station machines
- Key Routes: Newark to World Trade Center; Hoboken/Journal Square to 33rd Street Manhattan
