Do You Need a Professional License?
Many professions in the US require a state license to practice, including:
- Medicine, nursing, and healthcare professions
- Engineering and architecture
- Accounting (CPA)

- Cosmetology and barbering
Credential Evaluation
If you have degrees or professional qualifications from Morocco, you will likely need a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization to prove your education is equivalent to a US degree.
Steps
- Check if your profession requires a license in NJ or NY
- Get your foreign credentials evaluated (WES or ECE recommended)
- Apply for the appropriate state license
- Pass any required exams
